Discuss Geometric tiling ( Victorian ) in the British & UK Tiling Forum area at TilersForums.com.

mmmmmmmmmmm...must have come across it...it's the tiling at the bottom of the stairs that i recognised first........nice work though...

Thankyou , like I said I'm not daft , just that in 20yrs this is something I've not really worked with thats all and was seeking some knowledge thats all. Also something I'd like to do more of as well if i can as I enjoy my work very much and am always looking for new challenges.

The house in the pic was done in three areas , 1. was the wood effect 2 . was Trav 3. Was sposed to be metal but it looked more like slate effect tbh.
Had to divide the house up into thirds , tile ground and first floor then left and right side of house walls in corresponding tile.

Might put up a few more pics at a later date.

Ok , the penny dropped this morning once I'd sat down with the dimensions of the pieces and worked out the Hypotenuse of the sqaure pieces. Went through the various patterns and matched these measurements , so that coupled with slightly opening or closing border joints should do the trick.
As someone pointed out the only hassle would come when someone mix and mixes Infills with other borders. Thanks for your patience , I just like to know exactly what is happening with work in my head before I tackle it.

Regards.

Diggy
