I went through a stage of not bothering with gloves but nowadays it just hurts too much, the sensitivity over a few days if I don't wear them just isn't worth it, so, I have latex gloves but recently I've been using Tescos' own brand Marigolds, 49pence for a pack of 2 pairs, tight fitting so you can feel what your doing, and they seem to last a fair time as well.
