Hey Bri,

I remember posting in your other thread :) I'm in Edinburgh myself and you will love the course! If you can I would really really recommend you do at least 2 weeks. The 1 week course is really only the basics but in the 2 week course you get onto boxwork, floor tiling, underfloor heating, self levelling and natural stone. Ok still a lot to cram in but you will feel more confident doing the 2 weeks.

All the best mate :)

I will be doing my bathroom after the 1 week course so that will give me a better feel for it also. I will book myself on the further courses as I progress or save money lol.... But will defo be trying to make a real go off it.

Muse2k8 If you don't mind me asking how long have you been in the game for , and how you finding it, do you work for yourself?

PM me if you like.

I've been working for ten years mate. Kinda started off as general work with my dad before I got into plumbing. As a plumber I really enjoyed fitting bathrooms, I have an artistic side so did a tiling course at trade training in Edinburgh and yeah absolutely loving it. I'm by no means a tiling expert but with knowledge on here and from training (and stuff I've learnt over the years) I'm getting on well.

If your good with your hands, have the passion and the determination you will make a living and will enjoy yourself. No point going through life being unhappy with work, you gotta put pennies in the bank so why not do a job you want to do? If in ten years your bored then learn something else and adapt.

I know for a fact I will end up in the future learning Venetian marble plastering and electrical ;)

Hi bri, please don't take the wrong way, I know its maybe the way you talk but you keep referring to this proffesion as a game! I've been doing it for years and still feel aprehensive before some jobs, this is because I set myself new goals to be better. It's a passion and even an art to some of the pros on here.

Hope you know what your getting in to. Good luck.

Must apoligise if me calling it a game gets to some off you but it is the way I talk can't change that. Also think some off you are not reading everything I say, some seem to think that I make out I will be a tiler after a weeks course far from it am not that daft. Been about long enough to know you need to work at something to master it. I have a trade made plenty off money doing it to, bringing three kids up keeping a house etc etc...
I want to try something new I welcome peoples advice but if others are going to be offended or negative then you don't need to read my posts.

Don't get me wrong there is loads off honest people on here that know what they are talking about and I like that all I want is advice and guideance.

Thanks Brian.

Hi bri, don't take offence, I sincerly wish you all the best of luck in your new carrer, its just, I have seen so many fail at it after a few jobs because they had the wrong attitude, they thought they where filers after a few month!

You seem to be motivated because you want to see your kidsmore, well what more motivation does anyone need?

All the best mate.
