evening all! :8: Good day at the office?
A pizza company wants me to replace some of their floor tiles but I know how hard it can be to get the old ones up - and the addy which is that grim dark grey stuff that seems rock hard.
Anyone recommend a tool for getting the old ones out - I know a hammer drill with a flat piece would be best but then you'd take and damage the O.K ones.
Yeah sometimes old tiles+addy come up with a club hammer and chisel but that's if you get lucky....!

what do you reckon...?

Kango chisel with a spade bit - takes render off walls, tiles off floors, chases out plaster - great gismo. Wickes are pretty good and cheap but the pro's on here might have a better idea

You shouldn't have too mcuh risk of damaging surrounding tiles if you remove the grout first. If you have a few to lift then a Kangoo or and SDS drill with tile chisel will do the job no problem.

lucas i did a similar repair job recently , use the kango or sds hammer to take out the bulk , use a sharp chisel and hammer for the edges of the neighbouring good tiles , good luck and tap gently ...

Thanks for that - so what's the best and quickest way to remove the grout between the tiles so you don't damage next door ones if you use the kango + flat bit?

cheers
