Have about 1.5m square of mosaics to fix for kitchen splashback and after reading advice here was all set for a trip to topps for some Bal mosaic fix,but then i read a post by David Howe dated nov 2007 about glass wall tiles in which he states painted back glass should be fixed with apoxy or mirror adhesive?,now that's thrown me a curve ball!.
My mosaics are 15x50 on a 300x300 mesh and are a glass and stone mix about 20% stone the rest glass with a painted back some kind of shiny gloss. What is the best product for thes please?.Fixing will either be primered plaster skim or some cementious addy if i need to build it out, thanks.
For interest Bal spec for the mosaic fix says..not suitable for glass/metal tiles with water sensitive coating on back.

Always if in doubt to the backing then contact tile manufacturer for fixing instructions .. i will say though , that delicate glass tiles do normally have a slip/instruction leaflet in the packing to say they need to be epoxy fixed etc ... this leafelt also dictates if they can be used in areas of high heat , like behind gas hobs etc.

But with them being a stone mix with glass , then i would say that cementious adhesive will be fine.

They are a Chinese made stuff from BnQ all it says on card is that the stone pieces need sealing before and after grouting.
Also i have tried placing various things under the mosaics including a steel rule and can't see any shadows,so will i be ok with pressing them into my lines left by the mosaic trowel without flattening them off?.Link to tile Colours Grey Linear Stone And Glass Mosiac Wall Tile, 300×300mm, 5397007009330
