Hi all,

I'm tiling kitchen splash back with large profile glass tiles. Now i was told all glass tiles have to be back buttered so not to show any adhesive ribs showing through, however the glass tiles i will be using have a frosty backing , does this mean i do not need to back butter? or should i b/b them anyway.

when you say large profile do you mean these are bigger than 100m tiles...if they are then check the advise slip that comes with them and see if they are suitable for use behind a cooker as most of the larger glass tiles are not as they can shatter with the heat of gas cookers......dave..

HI ALL,

Ive now been told by the customer that there hob is an induction hop and does not transfer any heat, so thats that sorted. Other problem is should i still backbutter tiles even though theythe back of the tiles have a frosty finish. if i dont back butter will the ribs of addy still show through?

also is there a special adhesive i should use or can i use my standard mapie adhesive?
