OK so nobody got me any knives at christmas:thumbsdown: So i'm gonna try again for my Birthday. I know some say that you should never buy a friend a knive as it's bad luck but i'm trying to get round this by getting people to buy me vouchers instead :ninja:

I've got my eye on this set @ £245

Any thoughts girls and gals and thanks to Kilty for helping me make my mind up on what brand, looked at the Henckels & Wusthof but settled on the Globals because the range seems more extensive to add to.

Oh I also accept postal orders if you lovely lot are feeling flush seeing as work is picking up for some of you (i've made a note of your names:lol🙂

I've got a set of Globals CR - best knives you could possibly buy:thumbsup:

I bought them individually over the last couple of years and keep them on the Global magnetic wall holder:thumbsup:

Your right about bad luck, its said that anything bladed between friends can cut friendships. My mum is into all that mumbo jumbo.

Would you use them that much?

I bought my last 2 knives from my local butcher. A boning knife and a steak knife, razor sharp but not fancy looking like that set

I've always wanted a great set of knives, I love cooking so although I want a nice looking set it's secondary to the blade. I've bought so much rubbish over the years and they were not always cheap but I want a set that will last me 10 years plus if I look after them.

There isn't much that I ever want as a present, so when people ask me I can never really tell them but as it's my 30th I wanted something that I would use day in day out that I could really appreciate rather than just use now and again and forget who got it for me if you know what I mean?

globals:drool5::drool5: mind if you buy the smaller 6 blade set cr you will need to buy the global ceramic sharpening steel on top of that:thumbsup:

Hmm I love knives, always wanted the global's ended up with some other old tut...:drool5: Happy birthday!!

we bought a set of so called stainless steel knives from a reputable shop, they have tiny rust spots on them after being put in the dish washer, wish we had done a bit of research before buying ,good luck with your birthday list
