Going in the morning to lift some tiles

Checking the sister bathroom of this one in the morning.
removing shower screen and lifting a few (loose) tiles to see if it's the same as this one!

Here's the outcome of this mornings visit.
Most tiles were loose and joints were cracked. It had mat type underfloor heating and the tiles were dotted onto this. There was no contact with the adhesive to the floor, it was just sat on the mesh.an inch of adhesive in the tray area, no envelope cuts, so floor was nearly level. The wall tiles were stuck to some sort of barrier, but the barrier is not stuck to the wall!

Look like the plaster has had a high shrinkage rate....will you be ripping the walls off as well.

I damaged that smashing the tile. Tbh the whole lot should come off, but can't see that happening!

Ufh hasn't failed Ash. The tiles are only stuck of the mesh.

wow, i thought the stuff is supposed to fail when it is not completely covered? is that rite or have i read wrong in the past?

Most will work with nothing covering.

Doesn't have to be covered, but works like a reservoir if screeded over. plus the wires are protected!

YIKES :yikes: to that tiling.. the walls will fall off if you don't strip

Looked a nice bathroom on first pic. I would have found it harder to dot and dab that floor, than to do it properly. I would advise a total rip out based on what you have found, the shower walls look like they haven't been primed let alone tanked.
