I'm just about to go shopping. I have 3 bathrooms to tile with 10mm 600mmx300mm porcelain tiles, so I guess I going to need some decent tools.

My shopping list so far to start with ..

1 Rubi TR 600 S comes with 6mm and 10mm wheel
1 Rotozip RZ3 ..... have to cut round the floor waste outlets for toilets not sure how else to do it?
1 115mm diamond blade for my angle grinder

what do yo think will these be adequate ?

accepting that after this they will only get very occasional use, and I have the usual selection of basic hand tools, are there any other specialist tools I will need ... or tools that you can't manage without inc the removal of the old tiles and grout, cutting the aquapanel etc etc...

Wife has the Tea and Bacon sandwiches :drool5: on her list

Thanks thats great I will order the main items from there, they seem very reasonable and customer feedback on here is good.

I would love to mull over a few more of your ideas also though before I give them a call ... to help give me some idea of a tools budget .. anyone ?

Regards ZTG

they sell start up kits for tilers,so it might be worth buying one that suits you.

Hadn't realised that brian i'll check it out

Doug did look at those ... was hoping a small down grade wouldn't make too much difference. Am I right in thinking in this instance you definately get what you pay for ? Can I do additional things or does it just make the job that little bit easier ? :juggle2:

I guess if it stops me messing up on a few tiles I'll soon recoup the difference
