Had a call on thursday from a guy telling me he had been let down by a tiler and needed a bathroom floor tiled before monday. The job was on a ground floor, old quarry tiles have to be removed and insulating boards fitted with underfloor heating, then travertine tiles. He said he had all material except adhesive & grout. I said the only time i could do it was sat/sun as im busy all week. So agreed a day rate and turned up this morning removed quarry tiles and adhesive,laid insulating boards, fitted underfloor heating and tmro going to fix tiles. Got talking to the customer and they are having a big extension built this year for a new kitchen, so will want this tiling he said...Then he said he owns a nursing home and wants to refurb the 20 bathrooms and he would get me to do them later in the year as they come up :hurray: So if i hadnt worked this weekend i probably wouldnt of got these jobs..Bet the other tiler will be gutted if he knew...:lol:
