Just to add i did a tiling course a couple of years ago and i have to say it was dissapointing i think the problem was it was to short we hardly done any laying of tiles and everything was all rush rush and we just brushed over topics .I would like to maybe try another but that experience has put me off TBH .

I actually like the job but do enjoy tiling the problem is having the energy to do it after finishing your job .How did you start out Wivers was it after work and weekends.

Yes mate after work and weekend. It nearly killed me, and trying to think of excuses to tell your custoners why you can only get to them at 11am is a pain in the butt.

To be honest for the first 5 years outa the 6 i worked for them it was the best job i ever had. Finish early, go home for some sleep then back in to do a SA in the afternoon whilst slipping off down the pub for a quick one between box collections :).

Also it was the best banter i've ever had. Constant p i s s taking everyday. You'll miss that mate, its lonely work on ya own.

That said, the job is going to pot now and i can see nothing but less wages, more job cuts and longer hours for the boys in blue now. So in my oppinion mate ... nows the time to jump ship.

P.S that £400 shares in the company thing...... WHAT A LOAD OF CRA P.!!!!!

hi postie i am also working as a postie at the moment but as you ll know the job has gone crap were underworked and overpaid my a**e i am struggling to get work aswell as i cant get there till after 2 as i dont get home till then and thats on a quiet day and by the time iam done i am knackered but i am hoping to keep trying to find work and experience and get out of the post before it knackers me completly by the way hope your voting for the strike we ll maybe get an extra bit time for the tiling and make those clowns who run the company listen for once:wink_smile:
