Large Format Wall tiles

Hi

I've been tiling for a few years now, I don't really do large format tiles but I've turned up to do a job for my builder today and he informs me the customer has got porcelain tiles 1.20 x .600 He has got labourers to help me which is fine, but all the walls are plastered, I believe plastered walls have a maximum weight of 20kg. Is it advisable to tile the walls with these tiles, any advice on this matter is greatly appreciated.

Hi there, I'm a DIY novice but in the same boat, with Porcelain 1200 x 600mm tiles for plastered walls(albeit only for sink splashbacks). I'm concerned (frightened) they might pull the plaster down, have removed the emulsion paint & have sealer but I'm not sure what adhesive to use.
So can I ask how you got on ??
