UK Help for large Tiles . .

I have a large heavy Porcelain 1200 x 600mm Tile I want to use as a sink splashback.
I've sanded the emulsion paint off to reveal the old bare plaster. I have got 'ultra trade primer' to prep the plaster.
What adhesive should I use ?
Will the plaster take the weight ?

If its a splashback let then tile rest on the surface when installing it and you're not fully relying on the plaster.

What thickness is the porcelain splashback?
