i have never tried to cut them before and i wondered if how tough they were, will they split with my RUBI the (WHEESHT KLUNK machine) or do they have to be done on the saw, do i need special type of blade, some-one sugested i try a markrist but they make all sorts of different quality ones.. i bought a markrist D750 last year and i was not impressed by it, i still have it lying in the back of the van hardly used because it doesn't cut very much!

The tiles are made with Granite chippings and will be quite hard.....you will have to wet cut them YES!!.....A good quality continous rim blade will do the job.......

I have been using the marcrist blade and didn't rate it against the new rubi cpc2 i have bought and used today...what a blade!!!......

cool, the blade is not as pricey as i immagined either. i see a markrist blade advertised next to it as well. it is a model or two up from the one i have and has what looks like it has a "turbo cut" thing going on with the chevron edge. the only thing i noticed on the web site was that the cpc2 with 180 mm diameter was only advertised with a 22.2 mm bore?

The turbo cutting blade can some times causing chipping......but the cpc2 is designed for hard tiles....mine is a 200mm blade and has the 25.4 bore.....give neil a shout at buybrandtools and see what size boe they come in.......most usually come in both....

Dave,

What is this then? Is it like a Terrazzo but made with granite then?
