I will be putting a light ivory rapolano ceramic on my walls (skimmed block)and want to use the jasmine mapei ultracolour grout, can i use a grey adhesive or will that stain the grout?.
What would be the best adhesive (mapei)for these wall tiles they are about 30x42x8mm thick, straight onto primer g'd plaster skim?.Thanks.

white adhesive for light coloured grout:thumbsup:
i think keraflex is the adhesive from mapei for this!

even if you did use grey, you will spend sooooooo much time cleaning up it wont be worth it!

pay the extra £2 per bag scrooge, Mc scrooge!:lol::lol::lol::lol:

i would thank you for that comment diamond, but lets face it, its me against you!:ban:

tile giant sell keraflex maxi cheaper than P9 because
"its in stock".
ask for a deal, no more than £21 per 20kg!
tell them dagger said so!

p.s Dave P9 is the best mosaic adhesive i have ever used, so great responce! whiter than white itself!

So to cap it all i could use kerraflex or p9 on the walls.is p9 flexible?,do i need a flexible adhesive on the walls?,also i have decided on 50x50mm mosaics for the showertray and nat. trav 300x460 for the rest of floor(TG)i was going for kerraflex for main tiles ,what's best for the mosaics, there will be some mosaics in two strips on walls?.Thanks.

t and g!

noooo

overboard 12mm ply min, and then keraflex "maxi",
dont go over t and g, it never lasts!

IMO.

Use keraflex no probs on overlay.... and maybe a few pics..

Maxi is good if you need deeper than 10mm

No i'm taking up the t&g and putting down 18mm ply, extra noggins etc. then the homelux de-coupling membrane that i have, and wall membrane around the shower area.

Can,t seem to find 22mm anywhereeven had trouble finding 24/25mm today at two local builders merchants!!.could i add 4mm to 18mm and screw them both down together or is that asking for troubleif they both try to move at different rates and directions?

I suppose if you put the noggings in at deffo 300mm then it will be fine...sufficent support.

Thanks for that.
will the kerraflex be ok for the trav. mosaics on the showertray?,and what about the strip of mosaics on the walls?.

Depends on how fast you want to work..keraflexi is slow set.....i tend to use the keraflex-maxi coz thats what my supplier stocks....and it doesn't slump..so ideal for stone as dagger said... and ok for the mosaics.....what tray is it by the way..?

It's a 1300x800 aquadec, and i'm a slow but sure tiler working on my own bathroom so i'm in no hurry.
