Grey Grout Options

Hi All

I've just put down some very light grey (almost white) floor tiles and I want to use a grey grout.

I've looked at the mapei website to give me some idea and they have 5 different colour greys! I didn't realise there was so many variations of grey. I'm at a loss now as to which one to use!

Question for any tilers who do lots of floors - which type of grey is the most commonly used in your opinion?

I know it's all down to personal preference etc but I've never used grey grout before and I'd just like to play it safe and go with the most popular.

I don't care what brand is, I can get hold of mapei and bal grouts from my local stores.

I would just match one of the mapei greys to your floor tiles...

It really is a personal choice, I've used cement grey, medium grey also manhattan with lighter floor tiles.

Depending how good your tiling is Antracite will show up any little faults if your tiles are a light colour, maybe a medium grey may suit you best

Mapei silver grey is very nice and light.iv used it on plenty of floors and looks great.

I agree with Hillhead Mapei silver grey is good. Ask your local stockist for a sample case, you can match the best shade for your tile. Good luck

Kerakoll Fugabella Pearl Grey is a nice light grey which looks great on light porcelain. For most applications, I'd just use a standard shade cement grey, however.

I carry Ardex and Mapei colour charts in the van. I give the charts to my customers and ask them to pick a colour - job done!

If the customer isn't bothered, or not around, then I make an educated guess by finding a colour that best matches the tiles.

Mapei 110 (Manhattan) is a huge seller in my store. A nice light grey that goes with most floor tiles

I've had a look on the Mapei website and it does look a nice colour.
