Hi All,
I will post some details and see if anybody is interested.
I have tried to attach a picture which shows the size & layout of the areas to be tiled. It's not to any scale.
There's measurements galore on the picture, but roughly this includes:
Conservatory of 3.48 x 2.93m
Kitchen of 3.7 x 3.1m
Hall of 2.52 x 1.81m
Utility and WC of approx 1.81 x 3m combined.
All but the hall are fresh flat screed (3+ months) and have wet UFH.
Skirting is in place throughout.
The doorways in the conservatory are all UPVC thresholds.
There are doorways between the rooms but no doors.
The utility has a fridge & washing machine in it.
The other rooms will all be empty (except for kitchen units, tile to feet, then plinth to be fitted)
There's no sanitaryware in the WC, just some pipes.
I measured wall to wall ignoring skirting, and when against kitchen units to the feet the plinth will attach to.
The hall is the only part of the existing house that needs doing. This is currently chipboard on wooden joists. I will take your advice on how best to make this suitable for tiling onto.
Our preference for tiles is something natural style, but costs are likely to push us to a replica look. Perhaps on the lines of http://www.imolaceramica.com/en/imolaceramica/products/tiles/tivoli#
We are interested in (although not set on) a "modular" style layout, and wonder if this might look better going through the rooms.
Can anybody interested give:
A price to fit, including materials
Some method statement or details of fixing method etc.
Links to your previous work.
A likely lead time for this job.
Much tea and many biscuits await the right tiler(s).
Thanks for reading this far
James
