Grout and Adhesive for Porcelain

Hello All,
Please can I have some advice.
I am about to lay 600 x 300 x 10mm porcelain floor tiles (onto an old concrete floor, level and clean)
I am very new to tiling, so I do not want to use a rapid set adhesive..... I was thinking BAL gold star?? Will this be suitable, and will I need to add the Admix to it?
Also, I was wondering what size grout lines to have, I dont want too big, was thinking maybe 3 or 4mm? will this be ok or do I need bigger for these tiles?
The grout I would like will be a beige/light brown colour..... do I need special type of grout for these tiles?

3mm is minimum BS. 4mm will be fine too. No less that 3mm though.

BAL Gold Star is suitable , I would look at other brands though unless you get a good price. Weber adhesives are excellent IMO and would represent a substantial saving.

Try and work clean and make sure those joints are clean before grouting. Also let the adhesive set before grouting.

As for type of grout, I favour Mapei as I find it ideal for my way of working and they have a great colour range too.

Many thanks for your help. Just checked online and Weber seems a lot cheaper than BAL so thanks for that.
Just one more question, what size /type of trowel should i use, what thickness adhesive?

I would personally use a 10mm round notch trowel or even 12mm. Also back skim every tile with adhesive using the flat side of the trowel.
