Are you charging your "friend"? If you are surely you'd charge less to re-tile? Don't envy you!

I have a suggestion though. If it's just a rental and he needs it done "temp" so people can move in. Why not try a local plastics merchants that does hollow soffit. Glue it all over the top as a temporary measure. Cost in materials would work out about £3.50 to £4.50 per square metre.

Just a thought.

He has just bought it to rent out, he doesn't have the cash to replace it all, so he called me in to try and rectify it. I did just think about scraping it off, but I know the tiles will end up being marked, just wasn't sure if there was 'another' way :mad2: I've done 100's of sqm of tiling but never in my life ever seen anything like this and its a first for me. . . hmmmmmmm


It would be 10000% cheaper to knock em off and re-tile..
