Grout float

what is your choice of grout floats i have a large silverline and a smaller marshal town one was told in the tile shop that the new rubi ones are the best .

Marshalltown is of choice but BQ do a decent one at a nice price.

I use & like Topps gum rubber floats. Been using them for years. I don't like the feel of the Rubi floats but of course, each to there own.

these are my currant floats, you just buy a new bottom and click -on, but i like the rubi as well , they are very light waight and seem to cut the grout off very well, the downside is they wear-out very quickly ,so swings & roundabouts ........

the good old squeegee ,we used to make our own with a length of rubber and sandwich it between two bit's of wood screwed together , and they worked, we used to make big-ones to cover more area lol

Yes 2 pieces of architrave and a rubber floor tile that we somehow had loads of !

I use Hilti grout floats. Sure, they cost £900 each and are made in China, but 60 years ago when the company began, it was based in Lichenstein and produced quality products...:lol:

yup,more or less the same,my boss in the 80s would rather make tools than buy them(if it was possible )

Can't beat Marshalltown for cleaning off imho that is, the only problem is they don't last that long before the corners start to peel away

For that price I assume they come with a replaceable Chinese worker with grouting instructions in all languages!
