Hello to everyone..

Did a search and did not see anything that could help me in finding information about a grouting machine for jobs that range from 200sq. ft. to 1000sq.ft. The ones I have seen start about $1500.00 usd and go up in price from there. I will be using it on smaller residential jobs so weight and size will be a concern. The grout I mostly use is sanded with most grout joints 3/16 in spacing. I am all about not having to crawl around the floor several times before completing. 1 time to set , another for grouting and maybe 2 more times for clean-up... I am getting to old and need to invent a small grouter or hire someone younger to help.

I have the raimondi berta, its a good machine but if you do decide to buy one I would recommend buying 2 spare water troughs as when grouting large areas its a pain to keep changing and cleaning the same trough, I am not convinced buying it was a good decision for me as I mainly do floors under 200sqm and mostly large format tiles with narrow joints , if were doing larger area quarry tiling jobs it would pay for itself and be worth while hope this helps

we do large floors often for a kitchen company up and down the country all of wich are between 500sqm and 1000sqm. we tried a grout machine once hired from some company because the grouting is hard work on floors thats size, and we found them a waste of time and we found it far quicker to get on ur knees and do it the old fashion way. they leave far to much grout on the tiles so you end up using twice as much

Thanks Guys for the reply. The reason I was asking is because I am in the process of designing a small unit. I would agree that most machines leave to much grout on the floor , probally not much faster either but sure is a lot easier on the ageing body. Maybe if my helper was a pretty woman I would not worry about how much my body hurts after each job.....
