Grout or Not ?

Hi,

I've just fitted some of the following tiles,having not fitted this type of tile
before I just wondered If you would grout or not ? Supplier has tiles displayed both
grouted and not grouted. (Grouted seems to highlight tile joints) They aint installed
in a wet area and customer ain't fussed,but does'nt seem right not grouting. Opinons
pls

Tile master lightweight,6mm notch,back skimmed (free samples from Mark)

What was the substrate and is that adhesive waterproof?

Substrate was dot dabbed plaster board skimmed with multi finish,primed with Ta flexmaster.
It's flexy addy & is for interior or exterior work.As stated above tiles are not located in wet
area..It's a feature wall in a kitchen & tiles are 500 x 250 ceramic.

I can only see 2 photos of ungrouted......what can you see John that I can't?

I thought the bottom photo was just a close up of the top one? I can see the radius corners of the individual tiles a mile off. Grouting in a dark beige or caramel would sort this IMO.
Play it safe, tell them to live with it ungrouted for a bit and call you back if the change their mind

These were Porcelanosa mosaic slate slips, I grouted these and sealed them as they were in a wet area.

P'nosa actually told me not to grout mine , but it was a nook ao no water around. Not very flat either.

Her exact words were "I like both really,whatever you think would be best" !
So just thought I would ask opinions on here first.However am gonna ask her to
go back to shop display's and make a final decision...Basically call me when she decides.

If it was real split face then no to grout IMO, but in your situation I feel the fact that these are purpose made split face effect then I feel they would look better grouted. Just my take on it!

I would grout with as close a colour as possible.

The effect on those particular tiles is not an open joint as split faced stone would be, so grout.

Grout, looking at pictures, I'd go with TM grout 3000 limestone

Definitely grout. I fixed some similar, ceramics in a bathroom and I used a grout that was the most predominant colour in the tile and once done you could hardly see the joints.
