what is the best way to cut around the soil pipe using the above tiles? can i still use nippers ?? never worked with them or any stone before so any useful tips would be much appreciated.

just becareful with the kickback from the angle grinder though..but im with grumps...probably to hard to nibble those tiles.

tried using an angle grinder for porcelain and made a right mess. any tips on using an angle grinder

Have you tried scribing, then piano cutting (i think that's the term lol!) with a wetsaw? I'm assuming you don't want the hole going through just 1 tile?

You will still need to tidy up the cut though. Stone type stuff doesn't break as cleanly as ceramics in my experience.

same as the video is how i do my cuts usually tidy up the edges with a file round one for curves flat one for straight edges

I've only done it once. On the Natural Stone course at NETT. Can't even remember what the stone was now, but it wasn't a bad finish to be honest. I actually had better results with this method on Stone, than on Ceramic; don't know if that was down to the type of stone though!?! File or wetsaw/grinder if it needs a little smoothing out though i guess.
