building wet room in extension, got concrete sub floor poured into which McAlpine shower gully (TSG1T6SS?) is set ready for screed/former on top up to the right level.
Looking at getting a former rather than trying to freehand the screed as that looks alot easier. Noticed most of the formers you buy come with their own waste, but need already got the mcalpine gully in concrete, any idea if the trap hole size is fairly standard so you can put a former off the shelf onto an existing trap. Or if anyone knows a former which is known to work with the mcalpine gullys.

Don't think any will work with a mc alpine waste. Most tray formers have a trap suited to their own . Also the grate

Thanks for the reply. I wondered if the hole in the former could be cut out to fit the gully and the tanking membrane would seal it up but I'm guessing that's a bad assumption!
I will look at doing the falls with the screed, heard it can be done with plasterboard metal corner beads but not too sure how (centre drain so falling 4 ways).

Just get some 10mm steel rod and lay them from the grate into the corners, or wherever your falls are to be screeded to, use these as a guide then remove one you have made the falls.
