Halifax scam...?

Just got an emal saying my halifax account has been corrupted.They want my account verified.

Cant remember the last time i had a halifax account. Are they still going?

When i clicked on the link,in the address bar it came up as ck animal rescure or similar.

They ask for login details. I didnt give any info & blocked & bounced email.

Part of the HBOS group now (Halifax bank of Scotland) I've been getting the same emails and similar from loyds

I get these emauils almost hourly! if I had even a £ in all these accounts #I'm supposed to have... well I wouldn't be here tlking to you lot!

I use google mail now because it was one listed on my iPhone so I went with it, it's spam filter is good I hardly ever get spam

This is a "phishing" email.
You should run as much anti-virus & anti-spam software as you own.

Not wishing to scare you but this type of spam rely on you clicking the links so that they can "discreetly" load screen scraping software on your hard disk. I would ensure that your computer is clean before using it to access any sensitive data mate.
