I'm thinking of being a tiler and I live just outside Coventry in Bedworth and I am pleased to have found this forum as it shows what an industry it is.. didn't realise how professional it all sounds. Good to see so much support too. I look forward to being a part of the forum in weeks and months to come...I'm looking for tips on the training companies locally. I've been in Admin in a call centre for too long and fancy a change to work on my own..

Thanks, looks like I've got a lot of reading to do first.. Only found 2 items already about the training company I was going to go to, but .... ? need to do more reading. Got about 2 - 3 months before I book anyway so plenty of time..seems a bit pot luck who you go to until you read through here.

Welcome to the forums. If you're serious about becoming a tiler, it would be a very good idea to read up on the products (adhesive, grout, wpc, slc, ufh, board materials, tools, etc) different manufacturers offer. Alot can be learned from reading product specs; more than one might think.

Also, check you the links in my signature. I've been told they're good reading for newbies

Hey, thanks all you guys, I've been on a few forums before, but this is a great welcome....If the industry works like this with all this comeraderie then it's the one for me..jag alska dej .. all of you!
