Happy but sad.

Saw off my eldest son ( Daniel) at the airport this morning, he's starting a new life in Melbourne Oz. Gutted that I may never see him again, but happy if he has a better life.

in the meantime, you can adopt me oh sod it, i'll sell the sigma and go back to rubi with you, hows that sound :0)

ye will see him again, now you know where you are saving up to go for a couple of months every year. good fishing out there too.
best way too look at is that its only a day away. thats how i looked at when i was out there. chin up

I bet it was sad to see him fly to the other side of the world but he is only a flight away phil.. on your wages you will be out there twice a year

Well once upon a time I was that son....all my family waved me off and yes it was sad but exciting at the time. I never thought I wouldn't see my family again...in fact I couldnt get rid of the Inlaws who seemed to think it was their holiday home !!!
Keep an eye on bargain flights Phil and its not really that far. Which part of Melbourne have they gone too ?....Its a great place to live.

Thanks Dave, thanks Neale, I just got a call from Daniel. His boss picked him up from the airport this morning, introduced him to one of his future colleagues, a guy called Kev from the US I spoke to Kev he is showing Daniel around. His boss gave Daniel $80.00 to spend on a night out, sounds like a good boss. He will be working in Hawthorn Melbourne.
