Don't worry about adhesive as long as you use the right fixings and plenty of them. Watch out for your ufh pipes though!!
Its a small cost to use adhesive too.Hi Merle,
I have a friend in the tile trade who does a lot of inspections for tile failures. He told me once that much of the time where there is a failure with cement backer board, he finds that no thinset was installed under the board. His opinion is that it is worth the time to put the mortar under the board as per the manufacturer's instructions
Adhesive it is then - thing is I was a through and through WBP ply man for 20 odd years until about 5 weeks ago, so am still getting to know this Hardie stuff, but am a stalwart for doing things right, much to the annoyance of my co-workers at times:lol::lol:
