Hardiebacker 250 question

Would you overboard a timber floor with HB250 that has 6mm cork tiles fitted on top, without taking the cork tiles up?
ie creating a cork sandwich.
Seems a shame to create more work than is necessary.

I would, as Hardie say that a non flexi addy to take up any undulations on the floor is all thats needed and screws...

Cant even see there being any undulations in the floor, ala cupped floorboards or shrunken boards
