hi every 1, i have offered to tile my mates kitchen floor for him but need to find a few things out first. its a brand new house but the floor has lyno on it when we rip this up will the floor have to be cleaned of all the stuff that sticks the lyno down???and also is there any special stuff i need to put on the floor first or is it just straight down with the adhesive? i presume its a concrete floor. thanks every body. harry........... sorry i know i am a pain but has any1 ever heard of a make of trowl called ragni its sold in srewfix i was wondering if it was as good as rubi:hurray: :8:

clean as much adhesive from the floor as possible then prime the floor with acrylic primer and tile.If the floor is not concrete ie t&g ply out with 12mm ply screwed down every 300mm with 1inch wood screws,then prime the ply and tile using flexi adhesive and flexi grout.

Ragni tools are ok harry but rubi are better quality blades...

U notch trowels tend to be solid bed trowels....

yes if its deep enough trowel....10 mm usually...
