Have a guess what I priced

I got told today by my customer that my work was immaculate but, it should be because I was very expensive! So some details about this job, 20mm limestone in a 4 tile modular pattern, 280x280, 280x580, 580x580 and 580x870! The big one is a good 30kg and I've been laying it on my own. Floor was a mess so SLC'd before hand.

So price up for,

6 bags of SLC
6 bags of white SPF
2 10kg bags of limestone grout
5 litres of LTP mattstone
Labour for 24 m2 (SLC and tile)
Oh and £50 worth of diesel and the job is 3/4 of an hour travel each way.

I thought my price was very reasonable, so let's see what you all come up with.

Can i just say bri... NEVER use tape on stone, the glue leaches into the stone

Oh yeah it's all priced and agreed, it's a recommendation. I think the bloke is just one of those who thinks everything should be cheap, he's a building site manager, maybe that's the problem!

I didn't know that Dave, thanks,that sheet isn't stuck to the floor it was stuck to the pallet with the tape. Good bit of advice though.

They've had a bargain there!
Makes you feel a bit naffed off when that happens. As everyone agrees here it's worth alot more than that, you've done a lovely job and you get hit with those comments.
Every stone job i quote for i explain why these floor cost much more, so they know for certain.

I've still made good money, and I'm happy but, I told them if it had been a vat registered company they'd be nearer the £1500 mark, I don't think they believe me!

As you say he is a building site manager, he could have got a builder to do it cheaper with ready mixed!! :lol:
