i got myself a van other month and im gonna get a load of graphics for it

there is a website here www.signprint.co.uk you can design online and prices seem reasonable.

What do you rekon, are these prices to cheap meaning probably bad quality signs or to expensive

would it be better to go to a local company and have a face to face chat about it.

Fixing vinyls graphics in any form - sheet of letters isn't easy - even for tiling pros.

My first job after leaving college was with a sign company and we were often asked to supply only. Probably 8 out of 10 used to return and ask how to get the air bubbles, wrinkles and creases out. Or in extreme cases; how to remove them and reapply straight!

My advice would be; respect their profession like you would want yours respected and let a proper signwriter/fixer design & apply them.

lost marbles!

Hi i have just had my van stickered up today and i think that it looks great, (very pleased). its only an escort van but i got a full length photographic image down the rear door with the company name, numbers and a list of services next to it, a photographic image on either side of a few tiles with the company names running through them and then free estimates and contact numbers written on the doors total cost designed supplied and fitted £200 from my local sign writer
which i thought was a fair price and i was able to say how and where i wanted things to go so i would agree face to face is probably better . Good luck!

Gotta say that van graphics is pretty much essential these days, especially if you are into domestic stuff, not only are you telling your potential customer your a little more professional, but also their neighbours and everyone else that passes you in a traffic jam; all the more reason to smile and wave :)

I spent just of £60 on the vinyl lettering for me little partner van, applied them myself without much problem even though is was blowing a gale at the time.

I just kept the overall design really simple and clear. As a result I get plenty of visits to the website and a few calls each week. Certainly worth the money. When I get the bigger van later this year I may splash out on some better designs.

Cheers,

Dave
