Been to do a splashback behind an Aga today....While i was there the customer was talking about her kitchen floor, the floor is 80sqm of natural stone and she wants me to clean it in the new year as the tiler who laid it has left loads of grout on the tiles and sealed it and it looks terrible :yikes: Also she told me the tiler told her that he had to dot & dab the tiles as the underfloor heat can flow under the tiles doing it this way will give her a warmer floor...I nearly wet myself laughing  What could i say :mad2:

Shocking.

For the newbies who may read this in the future; A) never dot and dab any tile and B) UFH actually requires the cable to be encased for it to work, otherwise it could burn out much quicker and it'll actually never heat the tiles. Air is the only free form of insulation, if you can trap it around something, it's insulated!

As for the "tiler"; he needs a computer and a bookmark to TF.
