hi

can anyone give me some advice
i have just fitted under tile heating in a kitchen
i have got to lay 60x30 granite floor tiles on top of this
they are really heavy and i am worried about them sinking into the adhesive and losing my level

anyone got any advice

cheers

pete:sad_smile:

hi pete ..my advise would be to self level on top of the UFH then this will give nice flat surface for that size of tile, plus no risk of damage to cables with your floor trowel..use a solid bed trowel and lightly back butter and press the tiles into bed to prevent sinkage...........dave..

dave i have already gone over undertile heating with flexible adhesive so i don't damage the wires

you will be fine then, just make sure you have a solid bed and you will be ok........dave..

dave
this customer is level mad - he has his own flat edge that he is using to check my work

if you are putting the tiles down in brick bond, then use your level to get your first row flat as a pancake then your subsequent rows should fall in line but keep checking as you go.....good luck and post us some pics when done.........dave..
