hello all,
i am a artist, and i want to work with ceramic tiles, i want to create picturs/art with ceramic tiles.
can anyone tell me are their any tools that can cut curves and circles into 10mm tiles?
for instance i saw an advert for rotozip that cut through tiles?
i wish to follow a line that is curved so somthing like that would be great.

Hi pete, welcome to the forums. Your best bet (depending if they're ceramic or not) would be a wet cutter. You can keep skimming the tiles on the blde nd create all sorts of shapes.

I've made 'keys' that fit wetroom drains (to access them to clean them) out of porcelain tiles, some as small as 25mm but with ceramic you could make something smaller, it would just be a little weaker.

I can't think of anything else off the top of my head that would do it. If the tiles were a little bigger, tile nippers could be used I think.

there is actually a cutter for tiles thats a bit like a band saw for wood, its for very intricate work and i am sure its in the trimline calalogue, i will get it out of the van 2moz and look it up, bit pricey though
