Hello all.

A tiler friend of mine recommend this site for helpful tips and advice on all aspects of tiling.

That same tiler has provided me with the 'push' I needed to investigate tiling as a career. I, like so many others who have joined this site, have been working in a different industry for many years and now looking for a change.

i myself have worked for 13 1/2 years in the pensions industry and have decided I need a change and a new challenge.

I am looking into doing a tiling training course in Edinburgh in the next few months and eventually start my own tiling business.

I am fortunate that my tiler friend has offered me the opportunity to work with him at weekends to gain experience, which is fantastic, however he still recommended that I do the course to ensure I build a good foundation and pick up the essential skills needed to become a good tiler.

Already this site has provided me with much useful information, and I hope that one day I can be the giver of such advice.

I'll keep you posted.....

:welcome: to the best Tiling Forum.

I'd keep my money and work with your tiler friend for 6 months whenever you can to build up a liking for this the best trade around. There is nothing better then hands on experience to ascertain if you have the eye for this kind of work. The grass is always greener they say, but it takes a lot of money or contacts to have a supply of ongoing work.
Take your time and learn.
Enjoy!
