Hello all,
Joined some months ago and meant to say hi then. Apoligies, a breavement and ensuing delays prevented me since then so Hi! now.
I have more or less just started up after long career in IT. Have so far only doen a kitchen floor, the lesson from that being- clean the grout residu off as soon as possible!! everything else went ok and I would guess it was an unussually level floor. Am now doing a bathroom (all walls) with far more challenges;
- loose plaster, render and brick"work" ( if it could be called that)
- also loose over a fan installation and on wooden plate between tops of walls and mansarded ceiling (45 degree angle at two ends)
- wooden reveals/cavity closer around window (which extends above wall top level making for choices on how to finish tiles there)
- proud gas pipes (unused, have removed - carefully!)
- really out of true door frames (have trued up by inserting wedge shaped timber and moving architrave.
Now for the tiling!!
Regards to all, BeeBee
