Hi there,
Over the years I've done a few d.i.y. tiling jobs, but never more than about 20 sq.m. per project. I am now about to start using 450mm square porcelain wall tiles on a bathroom and I am thinking about upgrading my tile cutters. Does anyone know the Axminster Power Tools model TC200111 ? Looking at what is available, there's Screwfix with a 600W. "precision tile cutter" at less than £100, or you can pay over £700 for a professional machine from Trimline. As I am just a d.i.y. guy I'm looking at the cheaper options. Same with the snapper. Is there a hand operated cutter suitable for porcelain tiles up to, say, 10mm thick and 600 mm long that anyone can recommend?
thank you.

hello and welcome to the forums...............I would recommend rubi cutters but seen as you want a cheaper one then maybe try the clinker range....

Dave,
Thanks for the reply. Do you think the "big clinker" in the Screwfix catalogue would do the job? The jump up to the Rubi TS60 plus is an extra 105 quid.

It depends on how often you are going to use the cutter...if it is just a one off job , then CTD will hire you a TX700n or if you are intending doing a few jobs then the clinker would do...but if tiling is your next big hobby etc .. then buy a decent make and it will last...

Hi Bob, welcome to the forums. I understand te Husquvarna is a good cutter for a good price and will cut porcelain easily.
