Hello,New to the Forum

Alright I am new to the forum,I am about to Tile my first bathroom having only done between my kitchen units so a little daunted about starting,thought I would join up and hopefully get some help and advice and share my experience with other Newbies!!!!!!

What a welcome!!!!! First question, 400 x 250 ceramic tiles, Brickbond or stack I have 3 decent walls and 1 a bit bumpy which is my only full wall (others have window,bath, door)

If you do choose brick bond be sure to check the tiles for any bend down its long side, put 2 together back to back or face to face and see what the gap is like. some cheaper tiles only lend themselves to fixing with a normal set as they are toooooo curved.

Oh and I would opt for tiles this size set out landscape but that is my preference and seems to be the fashion for now.

the walls need to be good for brickbond (flat and straight) what colour are the tiles? personally i don't like white tiles in brickbond (except 200 x 100)

went for stack in the end landscape!!!,had a look at the tiles and there was a slight variation in some of them, so that made my decision for me, bit surprised by it though as they wer'nt cheap, we or rather the family decision maker went for a light grey or Dartmoor quartz to give them the full title,and we or rather she threw in a grey mosaic border I think just to make it a bit harder for me, it has taken me 2 days to do the window wall (I can hear a few of the professional's amongst you laughing) but I just want to try and do the best job that I can, anyway I shall keep you posted on how I am getting on.
