Hello to all & help wanted on trowel size

Hi everyone - I have just joined your excellent TilersForum site.
I am a keen DIY'er and have successfully tiled a few jobs before and am just about to start tiling my ensuite bathroom with 500 x 200 x 8 ceramic wall tiles - bigger than anything I've used before. What size trowel should I use? - I was recommended a 7mm square notched trowel in my local tile shop but I feel it might be a bit small to achieve full coverage. Any and all help will be gratefully received. I am plastering onto no-more ply boards in the shower area and plasterboard & old plaster in the rest of the room.

Mosaics...........................4mm Notch
Kitchen Walls....................6mm Notch
Good Bathroom Walls......... 8mm Notch
Bad Bathroom Walls...........10mm Notch
Good Floors.....................10mm Notch
Reasonable Floors.............12mm Notch
Large Format Tiles............12mm Notch
Rough Floors....................13mm Notch

why plaster the NMP in the shower..?

You may find if your thinking of plastering no more ply that some cement sheets can drag the water from plaster quite quick and even fail.

Thanks guys - whoops should have explained better - I am not plastering the no more ply - I have built a couple of false walls around the shower to lose the plumbing and recess the valve. The rest of the room is plaster (external walls) and internal walls (plasterboard). I intend to tile directly onto no more ply.

just to add, on floors I use a half round notch trowel (solid bed trowel) also in the wet areas too
