Morning folks ...sorry to ask yet again, but I feel more confident with the answers provided on here than at the local tiling store.....where sometimes I walk out thinking "did I actually get an answer there??"

Job is Bathroom Wall tiles

Size : 320 mm x 450 mm - 2.4k in weight:yikes:
Depth : 8mm
Type : Ceramic
Surface : Polished

Wall Surface - Part skimmed stud wall/Part Solid Wall

Job will include tiling within a shower enclosure
Questions are :

1. Best trowel to use for job ?
2. Will the plastered areas need to be primed ?
3. Assuming powder based adhesive ?
4. Would I need to back-butter given size of tiles?

...any other advice, as always gratefully appreciated ...many thanks all
