Help Novice

Hi,
I have recently done some refurbishment to my house and have uncovered some tiles under the entrance. I don't know what type of tiles they are but I am guessing they were put in 1920/1930 when the house was built.
I would like to restore the tiles back to the vibrant white and black tiles they once were. Can anyone tell me what chemicals to use? And how to get the vibrant colour back in the tiles?

I am total novice to this tile stuff so any help would be appreciated

hi i would use grimex from ltp to clean them up with a buffer o and :welcome:

enduro is the man to advise on this one, (altho' I agree TT, grimex is an excellent cleaner)

Thanks for the info. Do you know if they sell ltp in Oxford? I have seen HG extra cleaner in a local tile shop is that any good?

hard to tell, could be encaustic, but I'm only assuming that because of the age and assuming they're original floor covering

Thanks for the info guys. I am looking to get the cleaning products local in oxford so i won't have to pay delivery cost. It seems most tile shops sell HG extra or HG remover are any of the two any good for my tiles?

I always feel LTP is a better product than HG.
