Hi, looking to install a wet room on ground floor with concrete base. done impey trays on timber floors but not sure what im doing on this one. concerned about the waste and how im going to get the fall as the floor has to stay at the height it is for wheel chair access. Would appreciate anyones experiences with this. Also what products to use.

Cheers
Fred

Welcome Fred, as above , give Tony a ring at Wet Decs, his advice is second to none

OMG!

The opening post could have been written by me a few months ago!

There are a number of things that Wetdecs raised that I didn't think about, though I used the Tilux former. I needed it to be 1200x 820, so I was supplied with a 1200x 1200 and cut it down.

The problem I had is that the floor was a 'Cornish' floor, so nothing was standard, not even the thickness of the screed - only 1.5 inches.

Hence I had to tickle out an extra 1/2 inch out of the concrete floor in the general area of the tray. Quite something whilst working in a 1500x 820mm room with a jackhammer!

Why Tile - I will try and post a link to my thread detailing my experience here.

EDIT - Here it is. http://www.tilersforums.com/tanking-wetrooms/16427-fitting-former-i-suffered-so-you.html
