VicTile

What the HG Super Floor shine is doing, is putting a thin coat of surface sealant on top of the LTP Intensifier. As long as the Intensifier has cured, it shouldn't be a problem from no on. The average cure time for Intensifier is around 5-7 days.

The HG Super Floor shine will add surface sealant to the floor over time, and will need to be stripped back periodically, as it will produce build up around the edges where it doesn't get foot traffic and wear.

Waxwash will not give a higher sheen. LTP Floorshine is the equivilient of HG Super Shine, but in my opinion a stronger product, and can be used neat.

To Summarise ---- Use the HG Super Shine if you want, but remember it may need stripping back periodically when build up is visible.

Thanks.

Choice, choices!

How will I know when the floor needs stripping back after using Superfloor? (I'd prefer not to have to do this - I did not strip the floor myself previously - had someone do it for me when they made some repairs to it).

If I decide to just use the waxwash, does it matter that Ive washed the floor once with HG superfloor i.e. do I need to have the floor stripped to get rid of the thin layer of sealant that HG superfloor leaves?!!

Out of interest is there anything I could have used on victorian floor tiles that gives a sheen, but does not need stripping back periodocally because of the "build up" you mention?

Thanks for your help. p.s. it was a good few weeks after the floor was sealed with LTP before I used the Superfloor, so im presuming that will be OK in terms of the "curing" you talked about.
