Help with mosaic border

i've got a job to do with 9mm thick wall tiles into which i have to
insert a glass mosaic border which is 3mm thick. Any tips or advice on
how to get borders flush with wall tiles?

3mm is very thin though ???

Cut up some spare 6mm hardiebacker board up and put behind the mosaics.
I've had to do this a few times with the cheap mosaics .

make a dog eared screed, I use glazing packers to do this, basically you cut the packers ends to the depth of your mosaics, fill the gap between the field tiles with addy and then screed it out.

thats the easiest way doug, ive cut them from the lids of tubbed addy,worked out good

Box of cheap thin tiles from Bandq ,cut to size of border then fix to depth needed to build out,fix glass mosaic by covering back of the tile with adhesive(I use rapid set floor adhesive)then tamp into place with grout squeegee
