I ripped up a floor last week that a plasterer had tiled, concrete floor and the tiles were cracking.
turns out he self leveled onto vinyl tiles then tiled.had to be one one of the uneven floors iv saw.
took me ages to rip it back to the bare concrete.
could not agree more have laid floors over hundreds sqm at a time and have never used a spacer on a floor ever just grid out string the lines and stay within the bays and small floors just two square lines and away you goIt's just laziness and lack of knowledge I dunno it's just crap I never use spacers on a floor
Rubbish there's nothing wrong with using spacers
i use use spacers all the time
If i remember rightly there was a whole debate on this very subject, personally i use them on floors, but as pegs and always remove them.Nothing wrong with using spacers, it's leaving them in and grouting over them that's the issue!!!
