Yes did use PVA to seal floor as per Unibond. Would agree mix was too dry. Instructions said 3-4 of mix to 1 of water by vol. Used 3 to 1 ratio - still very dry.

I dont know why unibond reccomend sealing with pva as its wrongalso when your using addy regularily you just mix it to the right consistancy whatever the ratio they reccomend

ive used readymixed tile on wood and it was the worst stuff ive ever used, it was gritty and horrible to trowel

your best bet is to start again using mapei keraquick or if your buying from B&Q its mapei buildfix, cleaan the addy off the floor{shouldnt be too hard] and give it a sand, seal with primerG and you should be ok this time
