hi all, currently looking to get my break into the tiling trade. Am currently a cab driver and work as dried up, so a complete change of career.. looking at various courses and hoping to achieve NVQ in wall and floor tiling, also calling up various tilers around the local areas looking for work.. Any advise would be much appreciated.
Currently in Essex (Romford)
Thanks All
Ryan

Welcome aboard Ryan. It isn't easy to get into a trade these days but persistence pays off.

If you can find a tiler that will let you labour for them, then the on-site experience will pay dividends. But you will need to gain a NVQ if you plan to work on site for any length of time I believe.

Have a read through the courses forum. And ask any questions you have.

Advice.....
Never stand around with nothing to do.
Anticipate his needs.
Clean up.
Load out
Mix adhesive
Get clean water
Be there when needed

Do not disappear for *** breaks....

But above all ask questions and enjoy the experience.

Leave the mobile phone alone as well:eek:
