Had to take down plasterboards as old tiles necessitated it! Put up Aquaplan plasterboard, read somewhere to put "flexi-cement adhesive" then tape it with that mesh tape in the joins, not got to taping yet, will use my flexi-cement base adhesive which I used for the floor for this, hope this is correct? Wish I now put up a plasterboard and then tanked it.
Still putting in the furniture, got a neighbour to cut out the worktop for my semi-projected sink as he has a machine to cut it out, was a bit worried there!
Wish I took a photo when the room was bare, but will take some and post them here.
Ordered some Weber Fix adhesive for tiling tiles on the Aquaplan, not sure if this is correct, don't know if it's flexi adhesive which I need for the Aquaplan boards. My local tile shop only sells Weber which I have been told is similar to Bal. If I need Bal, it's a 25 mile round journey, so I hope Weber products are good. Will speak to the "pros" at the tile shop re this.
Love this forum, lots of excellent advice, very friendly and helpful.
Have had to employ a plumber and have remained with copper pipes, don't know much about the plastic ones they have these days. Didn't like the large pipes coming out for the Grohe shower, and the radiator and when the plumber comes again, will have a word with him. Must say have been pretty lucky with help of neighbour and an old builder friend of mine.
Many thanks for your help and info. H
