Hi Davy and welcome.
I started out on my own last year and found it difficult getting work even after spening loads on advertising with only 2 calls.
I visited every tile, kithcen and bath room shop in my local area leaving cards with them and slowly had a few jobs come in and once managed to get some pictures of work I had done went back round them all again.
You just have to keep knocking on their doors, but word of mouth seems the best way of getting known.
Good luck for your future.

You'll get all the info you require if you are going to attend NETT.
Loads of info on here for NETT, just read the feedback for them.
